All winter I have been waiting for a good frost and this morning it finally arrived! It was a lovely crisp day, and the early morning sunshine made the icy ground sparkle with colour – perfect conditions for some frosty photographs.

These were taken with my Canon EOS 70D 17-35mm lens + macro extension tubes. It is amazing just how many colours, patterns and shapes you can find if you just take a closer look.

Definitely worth the numb fingers I’d say!
