It’s been around 6 weeks since we replanted a couple of the flower beds here on Aberystwyth’s south promenade. Since then we have had what feels like weeks of endless rain, and whilst we not have enjoyed it the flowers have certainly benefited! It has certainly saved us the job of keeping them watered…
With the return of the glorious sunshine, where once there were just a few scattered plants there is now a rich carpet of colour! The vibrant livingstone daisies are now thriving adding a welcome burst of pink, orange and white to the promenade for all to enjoy.
The daisies are pretty irresistible to photograph and a good opportunity to experiment with a low perspective and shallow depth of field to isolate details and individual flowers.

I love these daisies, they’re amongst my favourite flowers – we often have pots of them near our front door, such happy ‘faces’ they have! Lovely shots, thanks!
