Despite in now being late September a walk outside and you’d be forgiven for we were back in mid summer! Temperatures all week have been hovering over 20 degrees, unusually warm for this time of year.
A walk along the promenade today and I was pleasantly surprised to find the flower beds we planted many months ago during lockdown still thriving, the yellow and orange marigolds putting on a final show for the season.
Rather than just photographing the flowers themselves I wanted instead to use them to create a natural ‘frame’ whilst photographing the distant lighthouse beyond.

I am quite pleased with the results although I can’t quite decide if I like this version better, or the tighter zoom. What do you think?
